Spotted this beautiful T-Bird while out today, as well as this parking sign for a restaurant. It was called the Varsity Sports Café, so maybe this is what happens when the varsity sports kids are in charge of the sign, instead of the varsity spelling bee nerds.

Was this before or after you broke your key?

Before. And the key still works, it just doesn't hold it in the open position. Either way, I am now using the other key.

This is why I'd both love and hate having a switchblade key. I'd love it because it's so cool and Bond-like, and I'd hate it because of constant fear of breaking it.

Yeah, I do still feel a little special and smug when I press a button on the fob and the key pops out. And it only breaks if you do something stupid, like, ya know, kneeing it really hard over and over.

But it was for the safety of every A8(?) owner!

The new ones are push button, so not quite every A8 owner. But then, if you have a new A8L, you let your chauffeur perform the knee test while you watch from the back seat.
